Ambassador Abdul Raheem called on the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye

Ambassador of Maldives to Türkiye, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef called on the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy today.

During the meeting held at the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Ankara, both Minister and Ambassador discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of tourism and culture, stressing the importance of further strengthening bilateral ties in developing these two sectors. Ambassador highlighted the investment opportunities in Maldives in the tourism sector and on increasing direct flights between the two countries.

Ambassador was accompanied to the meeting by Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye, Abdul Waris Saeed and Second Secretary of the Embassy, Ismail Niyaz.

Ambassador Abdul Raheem Visits Hayrat Yardim

Ambassador of Maldives to Türkiye, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef visited the Hayrat Yardim office in Ankara today. During the visit, the Ambassador met with Mr. Osman Calim, Vice President of the organization and was briefed on the organization's extensive humanitarian and financial aid efforts, which have been instrumental in supporting vulnerable communities worldwide. The discussions highlighted Hayrat Yardim's commitment to alleviating suffering and providing essential resources to those in need.

Hayrat Yardim, a renowned humanitarian aid organization of Türkiye, has been at the forefront of delivering aid to millions of needy people across the globe. Ambassador was accompanied by Counsellor at the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye, Aishath Raihana during the visit.

Ambassador Abdul Raheem meets with Senior Officials of DEHUKAM

Ambassador H.E. Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef met with Prof. Dr. Yücel Acer, a distinguished Board Member of Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) and Head of the International Law Department at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, along with Dr. Mustafa Başkara, CEO of DEHUKAM.

The meeting, held at the Embassy of Maldives in Ankara, focused on exploring potential avenues for collaboration in the maritime sector, reflecting on the importance of international cooperation in addressing maritime challenges and enhancing the sector's development.

During the discussions, Ambassador Abdul Raheem and the delegates exchanged views on various aspects of maritime collaboration, including legal frameworks, research initiatives, fisheries, sustainable practices in energy sector and educational programs. Ambassador was accompanied by staff of the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye.
