Ambassador of Maldives to Türkiye, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef had an introductory meeting with General Metin Gürak, Chief of Turkish General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, today. The meeting was held at the Turkish General Staff Headquarters in Ankara.

During the meeting, Ambassador Abdul Raheem and General Gürak discussed ways to enhance bilateral defense cooperation between the Maldives and Türkiye. 

Ambassador Abdul Raheem was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye, Abdul Waris Saeed, and Second Secretary Ismail Niyaz.

Ambassador of Maldives to Türkiye, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef met with the President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Mr. Serkan Kayalar, today. The meeting was held at the TİKA Headquarters in Ankara. 

During the meeting, Ambassador Abdul Raheem and President Kayalar discussed on ways to enhance cooperation with TİKA and exchanged views on collaboration in the developmental projects of Maldives. Ambassador further expressed gratitude to the Turkish Government and TİKA for the continued assistance to Maldives. 

Ambassador Raheem was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye, Abdul Waris Saeed and Second Secretary Ismail Niyaz.

Ambassador of Maldives to Türkiye, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef met with Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Türkiye, Rashad Eynaddin oglu Mammadov, today.

During the meeting held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ankara, both Ambassadors reflected on the ties of cooperation between Maldives and Azerbaijan. Both Ambassadors also explored further avenues for close coordination and collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

Ambassador was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye, Abdul Waris Saeed and Attache’, Mohamed Aslam.
