Ambassador H.E. Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef met with Prof. Dr. Yücel Acer, a distinguished Board Member of Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) and Head of the International Law Department at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, along with Dr. Mustafa Başkara, CEO of DEHUKAM.

The meeting, held at the Embassy of Maldives in Ankara, focused on exploring potential avenues for collaboration in the maritime sector, reflecting on the importance of international cooperation in addressing maritime challenges and enhancing the sector's development.

During the discussions, Ambassador Abdul Raheem and the delegates exchanged views on various aspects of maritime collaboration, including legal frameworks, research initiatives, fisheries, sustainable practices in energy sector and educational programs. Ambassador was accompanied by staff of the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye.

Ambassador of Maldives to Türkiye, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef met with Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Türkiye, Saeed Thani Al Dhaheri, in Ankara today.
 
During the meeting held at the Embassy of United Arab Emirates in Ankara, both Ambassadors reflected on the longstanding fraternal ties between the Maldives and the UAE. Both Ambassadors highlighted the deep-rooted friendship and historical connections that bind the two nations and expressed optimism about the future of Maldives-UAE relations, underscoring the potential for further strengthening the partnership in economic, cultural, and political spheres.
 
Both Ambassadors also explored further avenues for close coordination, emphasizing the importance of mutual support and collaboration in areas of shared interest. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of their commitment to work together towards common goals. Ambassador was accompanied to the meeting by Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye, Abdul Waris Saeed.
