Ambassador Lt. Gen (Rtd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef met with Mr. Abdullah Eren, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) today. 

During the meeting held at the YTB Head Office in Ankara, Ambassador Abdul Raheem and President Eren discussed areas for collaboration in strengthening bilateral cooperation in education field focusing on expanding opportunities for Maldivian students to access quality higher education in Türkiye, reflecting both nations' commitment to fostering academic and cultural exchange. Ambassador Abdul Raheem also expressed appreciation for Türkiye’s continued support and highlighted the potential for increased collaboration through scholarships, academic partnerships, and student support initiatives. 

Ambassador Abdul Raheem was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye, Abdul Waris Saeed and Attache' Dr. Mohamed Aslam. 

Ambassador Lt. Gen (Rtd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef met with Dr. Cengiz Çavuşoğlu, International Marketing Manager at Memorial Hospitals Group today.

During the meeting held at the Embassy of Maldives in Ankara, Ambassador Latheef and Dr. Çavuşoğlu discussed key areas for collaboration for the advancement of the health sector of the Maldives. Memorial Hospitals Group which is a well established world-class quality healthcare service provider in Türkiye expressed interest in enhancing healthcare services and exploring innovative solutions to meet the growing needs of the Maldivian population.

The meeting underscored the importance of international partnerships in driving health sector development and improving access to quality healthcare in the Maldives. Ambassador Abdul Raheem was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye, Abdul Waris Saeed, Second Secretary Ismail Niyaz and Attache' Dr. Mohamed Aslam.

During the meeting held at the Turkish Maarif Foundation head office in Ankara, both Ambassador Abdul Raheem and President Özdil expressed a strong commitment to fostering educational development in the Maldives and underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting quality education. Future plans for collaboration were also explored during the meeting, highlighting an initiative to create a framework for cooperation and discussing potential projects for the development of education in the Maldives.
