Ambassador of Maldives to Türkiye, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef met with Mr. Muhammet Zahid Karamollaoğlu, Deputy Secretary General of OSTİM Technical University, and Ms. Esma Akyüz, Foreign Trade Coordinator of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone (OSTİM OSB), today.

During the meeting, held at the Embassy of Maldives in Ankara, Ambassador explored on potential areas of collaboration in the fields of education, innovation, and industrial development. Ambassador Abdul Raheem and the OSTİM representatives discussed opportunities for capacity-building initiatives that could benefit Maldivian institutions and industrial cooperation aimed at supporting the Maldives’ development goals. 

Ambassador Abdul Raheem was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Maldives in Türkiye, Abdul Waris Saeed and First Secretary Aminath Shazly Saleem.

Ambassador of Maldives to Türkiye, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef met with H.E. Nuh Yılmaz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ankara, focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the Maldives and Türkiye. Ambassador Abdul Raheem and Deputy Minister Yılmaz exchanged views on regional developments and discussed opportunities for collaboration across sectors of mutual interest, including trade, tourism, education, and defense cooperation.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and partnership to further deepen the friendly ties between the two nations. The meeting highlighted the shared commitment to advancing regional peace and prosperity through diplomatic engagement and mutual support.

Ambassador of Maldives to Türkiye, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef held an introductory meeting with H.E. Dr. Faed Mustafa, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Türkiye.

The meeting, held at the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Ankara, served as an opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding friendship and solidarity between the Maldives and Palestine. Ambassador Abdul Raheem reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Government and the people of Maldives to the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the importance of supporting the rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people.

Both Ambassadors discussed avenues for enhanced cooperation and mutual support in international forums, reflecting on the shared values and historical ties between the two nations.
